First things first, i am not a blogger virgin. I have had a few previous blogs (only two!) but I then decided to delete both, including my main blog, a few months ago, unfortunately I cannot retrieve it as it has been deleted for more than 90 days. I am very disappointed about this as I had some quite good posts (the content may have not been that amazing but what they were about was quite interesting ie the Olympics, and the torch that went past my nans house, there were quite a few interesting pictures which I still have!) But it wasn't very successful, hopefully this one will be!
About me:
I am currently 15 (16 on June 5th) which means I have my gcses to do this year, yay! I have 18 exams within the space of a month, yikes! I am born and bred in London and I am definitely a city girl, I can only survive for a little bit in the country, however I am half Irish! (on my mums side, she is fully Irish but was born in England, so blood wise I am half Irish - which I am very proud of). My gcse options were: textiles, geography and Spanish. The only one I like (and love) is geography. Next year I am hoping to stay at my current school and go onto sixth form, following that, I am hoping to go uni, still unsure about what I want to study.
What about this blog? What will be on here?
I am hoping to post many things, as this is a lifestyle blog, it will include things like recipes, my experiences, life, trips, but also (probably) a lot of product reviews, ootds, make up, clothes etc.
What is the meaning behind the name of the blog?
Well, as my name is Sabrina, and one of my closest friends calls me sabs, I was thinking of a clever play on words...so i though of substantial which means:
substantial
səbˈstanʃ(ə)l/
adjective
- 1.of considerable importance, size, or worth."a substantial amount of cash"
synonyms: considerable, real, material, weighty, solid, sizeable, meaningful, significant, important, notable, major, marked, valuable, useful, worthwhile More - 2.concerning the essentials of something."there was substantial agreement on changing policies"
synonyms: fundamental, essential, basic - so I replaced the u with the a and
thoughthoped it was fitting...
I would love for you to follow my blog on blogger or bloglovin', or my twitter (@sabs_eh) or even my instagram ( sab_ems)
